Whiteville council to hold workshop on drainage/flooding Tuesday

Lisa Fisher, chair of the City of Whiteville’s ad hoc drainage committee, addresses city council in October. Tuesday’s workshop will consider recommendations by that committee and explore other future options.

The Whiteville City Council will hold a workshop Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. to consider recommendations given them in October by their ad hoc drainage committee.

In addition, council will review current stormwater and flooding initiatives, receive an update on possible infrastructure projects identified by Golden LEAF studies, discuss funding remaining
