Whiteville gives final approval to $11.1 million budget for new year

Whiteville City Council conducted a public hearing and gave final approval Tuesday for a budget of $11.1 million for the fiscal year that begins July 1 and includes no property tax increase but provides city employees with 4 percent salary increases.
