Whiteville man dies after medical condition causes Friday wreck

A 60-year-old Whiteville man died after likely suffering a heart attack that caused his vehicle to veer off U.S. 74-76 near Lake Waccamaw and hit a tree Friday.

According to N.C. State Highway Patrol Trooper C.J. Worriax, the man, Lester Bagley Valentine, was travelling on the highway
