Whiteville sixth-grader participates in panel with U.S. secretary of education

Bryson Dockery was nervous but excited before the April 9 virtual roundtable with national education officials, but afterward he described it as "really fun."

Bryson Dockery, a sixth-grader at Central Middle School, was one of eight students and several parents and educators from across the country who took part in an 80-minute online panel discussion with U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Angel Cardona Friday afternoon.
